FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is behind The Superyacht Show?

The Superyacht Show is being developed by the members of the Large Yacht Brokers Association (LYBRA), based in Monaco. This organization represents the leading superyacht brokerage companies worldwide; Burgess, Edmiston, Fraser, IYC, Northrop & Johnson, Ocean Independence, Yachtzoo and Y.CO.

What is the aim of the show?

Over time, we plan to develop the show into the definitive, pre-summer buying opportunity in the Mediterranean. The LYBRA members plan to bring together a world-class selection of superyachts in a private, luxurious setting to attract buyers and charterers alike.

How will the show differ from traditional boat shows?

Traditional boat shows have a strong business-to-business element whereby industry professionals come together to trade specialist products and services. These are essential elements for builders and operators, but they’re not conducive to creating a truly “luxury experience” for yacht buyers. The Superyacht Show will be a client-centric showcase that delivers the optimum buyer experience by attracting the highest quality superyachts and yachting companies, the most prestigious partners, global luxury brands and the most discerning visitors. The quayside experience for the ultra-high net worth clients and their representatives is specifically designed to be relaxed, elegant and enjoyable.

What are the dates of the show in 2019?

The Superyacht Show, Barcelona will take place from 6-9 May, 2020

Where will the show take place?

The show will be held in the private marina of Marina Port Vell in the heart of Barcelona. This is a safe and secure facility where visitors can step on board a wide variety of superyachts in an exclusive and luxurious setting. Barcelona boasts its own attractions of course with an abundance of incredible things to see and do as well as being a vibrant, cosmopolitan city with world-class cuisine, architecture and cultural attractions.

Who will be exhibiting at the show?

The eight members of LYBRA will all be exhibiting yachts at the show.

A limited number of additional partners will be invited to participate in 2020 and we expect the event to grow steadily over the first few years.

Who can I contact regarding partnership opportunities?

Please download a PDF Brochure here.

How can I put my yacht into the show?

There are 60 spaces for yachts in the heart of Marina Port Vell and additional berths available as the show expands in future years. Any yacht owner who would like their yacht to appear in the show should speak to their broker or contact a member of LYBRA.

Can non-LYBRA brokers attend the show?

Everyone is welcome to attend the show. We actively encourage all brokers, clients and their representatives to attend. Tickets will be available online through the web site from 1st February.

Will the LYBRA members cease to exhibit at other boat shows?

No, LYBRA member companies, in conjunction with the clients they represent, are all free to make their own individual decisions about when and where to exhibit the superyachts they represent for sale and charter.
